I like Ryan as an actor. He seems like he might be a pretty cool guy to hang with too. Some of his performances are painfully good (The Believer, Murder By Numbers) and some of his movies are just painful (Half Nelson). Don't get me wrong, he did good in Half Nelson, but it was...ok, well here's what I wrote in my movie blog:
"I don't like movies about drugs. This was a big yapping movie. I only watched it all because I wanted to see him die...unfortunately, that didn't happen.The little girl in the movie was a really good actress. I love Ryan Gosling on film, but I hated this movie so much."

I am entitled to my own opinion, as are all of you, and that's what I thought of that film. I think my favorite movies of his would have to be Stay and The Believer. I haven't seen The Notebook, because I got the impression it was a chick flick and I am not much on chick flicks. I'm sure someday I will have to watch it. It's probably the best movie ever made, I'm sure. (Right, Miranda? lol)
There are a bunch of fun facts about Ryan here...likem during his stint on the new Mickey Mouse Club he lived with Justin Timberlake and his mother...he is the product of a srict Mormon upbringing...and Built the kitchen table featured in The Notebook (2004) in preparation for his role as Noah.

I also think he and Ewan McGregor made a fabulous team in the movie Stay.
half nelson was the worst movie i have ever seen. i spit on that movie.
For me, that title would go to that Black Dahlia movie...Ulli Lommell's Black Dahlia or whatever it was called. UGH.
Well, I can't say anything for Half Nelson because I haven't seen it. Yes, I have seen and own The Notebook. Yes, I do love it, though I wouldn't say it was the greatest movie ever made. I did love the entire casts' performances. Ryan was an exceptionally great Noah. I have seen Murder by Numbers and I have to say that I didn't like it. It seemed a bit cheesy. I think Ryan did a good job with what he was given. It was just too bad the script was a little weak. Sorry if that offends, but it's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it ;). I assume the opinion of Ryan Gosling as an actor is asked for here so I will give it. I think he is a really great actor and I really hope to see him in more films in the future.
